Alpaca Gold quilts are encased in a superfine 100% cotton sateen fabric of the finest quality with a luxurious drape to enhance the softness of the alpaca fleece filling.
The Alpaca Gold quilts are available in two standard weights of 500 gsm (winter) and 350gsm (mid season / summer) and each quilt is hand crafted and individually certified for quality and authenticity.

Our original alpaca quilt, the Alpaca Classic quilt collection is our premium range, being exceptionally soft, lightweight and warm.
The Alpaca Classic quilt collection has set a new and higher standard in restful sleep and comfort.
By skillfully selecting and intimately blending two of nature's finest fibres: 60% Australian alpaca fleece and 40% Australian downs wool, and then quilted between a superfine sateen cotton casing, the result is a uniquely lightweight quilt that is comfortably warm and beautifully soft.
Alpaca fleece is highly moisture absorbent; an essential feature in all high quality quilts, to optimize sleeping comfort by being dry and warm. Naturally clean and flame retardant.
Alpaca Classic quilts are available in two standard weights 450gsm for winter and 300gsm for summer/ mid season to suit individual sleep needs.

An alpaca quilt collection that is of the finest quality, yet at an affordable price.
Sold under The Australian Alpaca Bedding Company brand name (we call them the ABC quilts), these quilts feature a blend of 50% alpaca fleece & 50% wool encased in a premium quality cotton fabric.
The Alpaca Wool quilts feature the new quilting design, UltraSoft, with internally stitched filling to prevent the fibre filling from moving. This creates a beautifully smooth quilt surface that looks great on the bed (plus it makes the bed making so easy) and is warmer than any other similar weight natural fibre quilt.
The Australian Alpaca Bedding Company alpaca and wool quilt is available in a winter weight of 450gsm (a fill weight of 450 grams per square metre) which is beautifully soft and comfortably warm.
We are planning to release a 300gsm version for next summer for those warmer nights when a winter weight quilt is too warm. |

Kelly & Windsor released it's new range of Alpaca Bamboo quilts, duvets, doonas and comforters at the Hong Kong International Home Textile Fair in April 2012.
Since their release, there has been an exceptionally strong interest from Australian retailers to range the product which has been selling very well.

Alpaca fleece
Amongst the world's rarest fibres, alpaca is luxuriously soft, lightweight (due to its semi hollow fibre structure), moisture absorbent, chemical free and is ideal in bedding due to its outstanding cooling and warming thermal properties.
Bamboo fibre
An ideal filling material for quilts, soft, exceptionally high moisture absorbency (bamboo is several times more absorbent than cotton), high breathability, anti bacterial, non allergenic, environmentally friendly and naturally organic.
The Kelly & Windsor Alpaca Bamboo quilts are covered with a new and exclusively designed cover fabric made with very fine yarns which are a blend of 60% bamboo and 40% cotton and woven in a sateen construction.
